What fire rating do MANYCON’s firestop systems achieve?

Our head of wall and expansion joint firestop systems are tested and certified to provide up to 2-hour fire ratings, expressed as F-ratings (flame penetration resistance) and T-ratings (temperature rise on the unexposed side), in accordance with UL 2079 and ASTM E1399. Specific ratings depend on the joint type, joint width, movement requirement, and substrate. MANYCON will specify the correct UL system design for your project conditions and provide the UL system number in the handover documentation.

Are your firestop systems compliant with Indian NBC standards?

Yes. All MANYCON firestop joint systems are compliant with India’s National Building Code (NBC) 2016 Part 4 fire and life safety requirements, as well as IS 1641 and related standards. Our systems also carry UL and international approvals, enabling us to provide compliance documentation that satisfies both Indian authorities (TNFIRS, HMDA, BBMP, AAI, etc.) and international standards referenced on GCC-linked or foreign-funded projects in India.

What brands and products does MANYCON use?

MANYCON uses UL-listed and globally approved products from Hilti (CP 672 firestop sealant, CP 648 firestop spray), Sika (SikaFlex and Pyroplug series), Rockwool (Rockwool Firepro mineral wool), and Emseal (FirePro flexible expansion joint systems). Product selection depends on joint type, movement rating, fire rating required, and substrate — all detailed in project-specific compliance documentation. We do not substitute or use unlisted equivalents.

Does MANYCON provide compliance documentation and fire NOC support?

Yes. Every MANYCON installation includes a complete compliance handover package: a joint-by-joint installation log with UL system numbers, photographic documentation, material certificates, and a Firestop Compliance Certificate signed by our site supervisor. This documentation is formatted for direct submission to fire authorities for NOC applications and occupancy certificate processes. We can also attend fire department inspections to answer technical queries about the installed systems.
